Does the DOF on the two birds in the first image work.? I shot it at f10.

Hi Allen
Nice series of photographs, the flying Yellowlegs sell this grouping. You have good control of the black & white and feather detail is good on all the birds.
Peter
Stilts are always very cool. They’re just the height of elegance and these images portray them very nicely (they do sometimes get into rather awkward poses). The in-flight shots of the yellowlegs are excellent. Not a species we see in-flight very often.

I have so many favourite birds; stilts are way up there in the top 50! They are so regal looking. Top image looks like parent and youngster?
I think the first image could benefit from a little CCW rotation? The background looks fine, but I would be tempted to soften it a little.
Blacks and whites are handled so well. The “yellowlegs”; wonderful BIFs. I love how the wing tip is just touching the water.
Would you consider a small lightish border. I think the grey background of the page tends to hide the images a little.
Wonderful set of images!
You’ve been getting some great BIF images and the yellowlegs is no exception-tack sharp. And very nice look at the stilts-background looks good.
