Not really, though he doesn’t look happy. This little green heron is a wader, and has lots of experience exploring muddy river banks in CT.

Hah, I love this, Jim. The pose and the sense of unhappiness in the heron is wonderful. I also really like the monochrome look of the mud. Really makes the heron stand out.

A nice look at the heron who, I agree, doesn’t seem particularly happy wading through the mud. From the kayak, it looks as if you had a good angle to shot from.

Fun capture, with the drab setting fitting well with the slightly depressed look he’s giving you.

I really have to up my greenie game. I love this for its testament to how hard wild creatures have to work, how constantly and in less than ideal conditions. Super.
