Lovely, both! But for me, the leaves in the BG take my eye away from the delicate flowers. With the selection abilities these days, I wonder if it is possible to darken then blur those leaves? Then the dancing flowers would have the stage!
A lovely poem and I like most of the image. The jarring note being the large brown out of focus leaf in the upper left, which to me, doesn’t support the feel of the remainder of the image, Pieter. I’m not sure if you’re willing to remove it or crop to minimize it, but that’s the direction I’d probably go.

Lovely indeed! Bright and cheerful too. Just brings me to a stroll in the woods or park on a warm late spring, early summer day. The stillness in the air is present and I think a great entry in the WC. (in fact I had to go re-read to learn that both “breeze” and “stillness” are in the description… I guess “air” is the common denominator.) Anyway, great summery image.
Oh, and what wonderful writing to accompany the image; clearly one was meant for the other.
My only suggestion will just go along with the others and perhaps targeting the bg to soften it a bit more, just to keep all the attention up front.
Pieter, this is very nicely bright, airy and summery. The flowers are beautiful and their separation from the background looks good. I, for one, like the brightness of the background as it adds to the summery feeling. I do agree about the dark leaf hanging down. The poem describes things very well.
