Critique Style Requested: Standard

Description

Taken at the Bouddi National Park a geological wonderland where I have spent many an hour crawling around the landscape. This sculptured outcrop always reminds me of a gargoyle watching over the ocean.

I like this image. There is something terrifying about it. It’s like a scene from a Hitchcock film. I guess because the background is so dark and the foreground is unnaturally bright. Plus all those shapes. It’s interesting how images can affect the mind that way without really showing anything really threatening. I guess the gargoyle is the head, chest, and arms?

Thanks Igor I love that you see it that way … exactly the way it was intended. I am not sure there is a physical representation of a gargoyle, rather it was more the posture of the formation over the cliff face facing out to sea.
