Description

When approached from the East (this view), Grotto geyser gets me thinking about trolls, etc. When seen from the south it’s a totally different and very unusual view, making this one of my favorite geysers.

Nothing special in this midday, not erupting view except it fits this week’s theme. During its random eruptions water splashes out of the “mouth” and “eye” and rises out of the top of the head.

I. Love this image. Really looks lurking with a smile. The contrast between it and the blue skies and green trees makes it an even more fun picture.

This is so cool looking, Mark. It reminds me of a snowman that has pretty much melted in the withering heat. The rising mist only reinforces that mood for me. Works perfectly for this weeks challenge.

Fun capture, Mark. I had originally thought of “the glob” but after having read @Ed_Lowe’s response, it is most definitely a melting snowman.
