A drainage in my area floods for several days after a heavy rain. If the skies clear off before the water recedes there can be some ground fog at sunrise.

This is an oldie, from 2008, reprocessed with the latest LR and a better eye and monitor. Very little done – gentle global tonal tweaks.

Hi Diane. I think this is a very cool picture, minimalistic but expressive at the same time. I love the atmosphere created by the fog, as if the trees are just growing from nowhere. Still you can see the reflection in the water. Really great composition!

Diane, this is a fine mix of stark and peaceful, with the bare trees, their reflections and the fog.
