The Last Hurrah

Critique Style Requested: Standard

Description

One last autumn image from Blackwater Falls SP in WV; unless I find some more; before I move on to something else. As I have mentioned before, I try to catch the fall colors a little past peak; after some leaf drop; as the viewer is afforded some wonderful glimpses into the surrounding woodland. I very much enjoy seeing the details and textures of the tree trunks and limbs as well as some colorful leaf structure. This particular view was found along one of the Blackwater Canyon walls. It was a misty rainy day with subdued light; perfect for showcasing the lovely vibrant colors of the fall season.

Specific Feedback

How do the colors and crop look to you? I kept the fall colors subdued as they were starting to fade. Anything else you notice please feel free to mention it.

This is nice, Ed. Even though your last autumn hillside scene was nice, I think the composition and placement of the trees and colors come together much better in this one. Touche
