The next comet, and possible auroras

A CME is headed toward Earth, with possible auroras in the next few days.

And the next comet, ATLAS C/2024 G3, will be visible in the southern hemisphere and southern latitudes north of the equator, assuming it survives its close flyby of the sun, starting about Jan 16. It will be following the path of the sunset, slightly farther away from the sun (and us) each night.
