The main focus of this trip was to photograph Eagle, but it’s hard to pass up a Blue landing. Thank you for stopping by.

I like the series and you captured the action well. If these were mine I might try lowering the blue in the water a bit. Still very nice as presented.

Very nice landing series, Peter. The water seems about right to me for a sunny day on the canal. You can get a lot of sky reflection at times.

Peter, great series of photos. I like the framing and composition. To my eye the water looks pretty good. Nice work!

I like additional images 2 and 3 the best. The head is slightly softer than the rest of the heron. You could add a little more sharpness to the head and bill if so desired with enhanced micro-contrast. In the first image, there’s a lighter colored vertical area in the upper rh area of the frame. You can edit that out or remove it via cropping. Otherwise, I like the color and the comps that were presented. Well done…Jim

Hi Andrew, Dennis, Timothy and Jim

Thank you for the comments. Here is a repost with the bright spot blended, a -10 unit in the blue water and micro-contrast added to the head of the Blue.
