Saw this great blue heron hunting at the local state park a few days ago.

Its fun to see the bird in action of catching the fish. Image 2 shows the elegant beauty of this big bird.
Allen, this is an outstanding sequence, especially with the big splash and seeing the fish afterwards. It seems like the first view has more contrast than the rest. I’d suggest trying for that contrast in the rest of the sequence. The final view is the closest in contrast.
A very nice series, Allen. I’m curious as to whether the heron washed the dirt off before swallowing it? Superb detail in all the images.

Really nice series of photographs. The framing in the second photo is great. The heron tail grass draws the viewer’s eye to the Blue. The fish is also a plus.

Another nice series, Allen, but as a stand alone, I really like the second one. The green background is great and sets off the heron nicely and the curve of the reeds mimics the shape of the heron.
