Description

Even with sliding the lens into the lowest slat in the boardwalk, I couldn’t get the full reflection of these Heron. Oct. 20 at 8:25 AM.

Peter - really excellent detail in this beauty! I love the front view with the gorgeous neck feathers. Great red eye and pose, clean water and the ripple adds a lot.
The slats on the boardwalk are irksome, for sure, but you still got a great image.
You have gotten some really wonderful shots!

Definition in the heron’s plumage is outstanding, Peter, and I like the simple, elegant composition. I do think it might benefit by just a bit more room at the top if it’s available.

Hi Peter, very nice details and exposure. I like the pose too. These are subtly striking (if that’s a thing) in my opinion. Nice composition with the full water ripple included. I was going to say more room on top as well but I see what you mean about the dark area in upper right.
