Technical Details

Z8, Nikon 180-600mm & 1.4ext, f9, 840mm, 1/1600, ISO 6400 and 10% crop in DXO PhotoLab 8. I remover a number of white high lights, that though interfered with the reed’s reflection. I left them in the foreground, because I wanted to keep some of natural of the march.

I love how small the heron is in the frame, Peter. And it does look rather cold. Nicely composed and executed.

I like the simplicity of the marsh and the lone heron. Small yet a big part of the composition. Love your title!

Quite cool! (And it does look like a chilly morning.) I love the unusual comp and the idea of removing the debris in the more distant part only. And the title is wonderful!!

Hi Dennis, Christine & Diane
Sometime it pays to take in the big picture, thank you for the comments.
