Trotting New Fawn

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

My wife spotted a doe and two twins out the window and alerted me so I grabbed up the camera and setup where I hoped they would show up. It took 10 minutes of patiently waiting forthem but it finally paid off. I wasn’t able to get both of the twins in any frames but I did get a nice sequence of one running to catch up with mama. This is my favorite capture of her.

Oh my Dave. What a cutie! I love the lighting on the fawn, against the dark tree trunks. It looks like we’re getting a peek into a secret world. Fantastic DOF and sharpness on a running deer. I think overall composition is well done too.
