Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

The cactus flowers continue to amaze me. Yesterday bloom #1 reopened and bloom # 2 opened as well. Today #s 1 and 2 reopened and bloom 3 opened! I like the various stages of the centers. Thre are still four more buds that have yet to bloom so I]m going to have good subjects for several more days at least.

Specific Feedback

Both images are stacks. Used a polarizer on the second image but not on the first. The light was slightly different each day and today there was a subtle glare off the petals that the CPL tamed.

How beautiful is that! I like how the thorns kinda encircle the buds and flowers. Wont try to pick them. The comp is great. Thanks

Wonderful, both!! I’m surprised such a delicate bloom would re-open for several days. I love the speckles of pollen! The polarizer was a very nice idea to bring up just a bit more of the wonderful color, but I love both of them.

These are all great Bill. The CPL was a really good choice on the second image. Wonderful colors and details. Great job with the stacking on both of these.

This plant is just plain showing off, Bill. Both photographs are excellent. The polarizer really made a nice difference in the second image. The only thing I can think of to change is to find some other plants to slip into the upper background to keep the green tones going instead of the tans and browns.
