Beautiful lighting, John. Is this a studio shot or were you out and about?
Thank you. I should have noted it was a bud in a vase on my dining room table, so sort of a studio! There is direct southern light and a dark corner I can use for a background.

No worries, John. This is good news since now you will be able to watch it unfold.
The black background sets off the delicate colors of the tulip beautifully.! The only suggestion would be to remove the light areas in the bottom left corner of the image.
A very nice close-up of this tulip bud, John! The re-post with the darkened and cleaned up bottom is much more striking because it keeps all of the focus on the bud! Nice shot!
