About This Image

Willie wag-tails are common little birds found all over the place. From suburbs to the bush. They are very tenacious little birds often warding off crows and raptors from their territories.

The image was taken just after midday. The sticks that he was darting in and out of were very dry and bleached. I’ve buned down the whites in the FG and two very troublesome sticks in the background have been subdued. Does the FG and BG look OK?
I really like the little green stick on the right and wanted to keep it. I would normally crop a bit closer to the bird. I moved it as close as I could by way of “content aware scale”…that’s been around for a long time. Does the crop look OK?

Another really nice bird image Glenys. Seems like you see a lot in your part of the world, many of which we don’t have here in North America. Once again your DOF was used very wisely here, as that blurred lower part of the frame helps to frame the subject above. I have no problem with the crop, nor the little green stick on the right. This isn’t much, but that little bit of green towards the left catches my eye a bit, and might help if it is removed.
