Winter Food

A flock of waxwings arrived at a park where I regularly walk. There are several ornamental pear trees with frozen fruit. They made quick work of it and moved on. It was 22 degrees F and occasional snow flakes falling. and not much light.

This is a very artistic presentation of a cedar waxwing. If so desired, you could dabble with adjusting the micro-contrast to pull some additional details out of the feathers. Well done…Jim

Jim, this is a great look at this waxwing munching on berries. The overcast sky and the bird’s gentle colors look like a near perfect setting for a high-key photo.
