James, nice photo. I can feel the cold. Nice composition and use of texture. My only comment would be to use the Effect more judiciously to create more textural contrast. Somehow draw more attention to the snowy tree.
I like this. Caught my eye right away. I think it is the simple palette of black, white, and brown that is most appealing, and then too the single tree. I also like the Orton effect.
