Witch's Butter(?)

I’m not sure this is witch’s butter. It’s in Mendocino County, in the coastal forest, from January 2016. We haven’t had such good fungi ever since. :cry: Unlikely to have any this year, either, since the forecast is for a dry winter.

We were mushroom hunting with friends who are experienced in that dark art, so it was quite entertaining to be able to poke along slowly looking for cool mushrooms.

What technical feedback would you like if any? ### What artistic feedback would you like if any?

Any comments welcome. I cloned out a few twigs, but left the ones at the top; are they too distracting?

Pertinent technical details or techniques:

Sony RX-100, 10mm, 1/100s, f/2.8, ISO 400. As I recall, it was pretty dark in the forest this day.

Bonnie, mushroom hunting with experienced friends sounds like a great outing. I’d have to spend some time searching to check on your ID. I really like the orange on dark wood with scattered bits of green. It’s a fine color combo with lots of interesting details.
