Lichen

A patch of lichen under Douglas Firs. There is a small group of fungi in the upper right as well and even a couple of faunal elements if you look closely. A 16 image stack. Taken this morning.

Dennis, this is a finely detailed look at this section of ground. The mix of lichen, mushrooms and pine needles, especially those tiny scattered 'shrooms in the upper right give the viewer a lot to explore.

What great textures and colors. The curvy shapes of the lichens really work well with the pointy, reddish pine needles.
