The first run of Pink Salmon came in to the hatchery last week and the Stellar Sea Lions followed them in. There weren’t that many salmon and the sea lions were probably pretty tired from the trip. This one appeared both tired and bored!

Good pose and I like whiskers dipping in water.
May be some more canvas overall will help.
He needs to get some oral hygiene before Salmon arrive. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The yawn is awesome, Gary, and I agree with Jagdeep that those whiskers drooping down add a lot to this image. I do think that a bit more room, particularly on the top, would be helpful.

I think the Harbor Seals were raiding his larder so at least he’ll lose some weight. Great detail and superb whiskers!
