Yakima River

Image(s)

Image Description

The Roza Dam controls Yakima River water for irrigation and protection of fish. The water backed up by the dam freezes in winter. The water level is also changed quite drastically. At the time of this photo it was very low. A few days earlier it had been up to the reeds. There was a little ice in the river and lots of frost on the earlier water covered area which gives it some winter texture.

I like the tree in the upper left, but am not sure if others think it should have been included. I could have moved to the right a little but there were more trees.

Jim, I like the three section view and the color shifts. The tree is an interesting “surprise”, lurking in the corner, but because it touches the frame, it feels like it may not belong. Could you have given it a little space? Were this mine, I would try both and see which one I liked best.

Mark, I agree. I’ll check to see if I have another taken left of this. Thanks.
