While on Oahu, I tried to photograph what bird life I could, there was alot else to do after all. This dove is similar to our Mourning Dove in Kentucky but quite different in appearance as well.
Let me know the verdict. Any suggestions or comments are welcomes!

The eye looks good and sharp, Jim, but the body looks a bit soft. I like the composition with the three rocks, but the one behind the bird might benefit from some softening as it kind of draws my attention.

Were you there at the right time of year to visit the Laysan Albatross colony on Kaena Point?

Nice pose in good detail on the head and tail but I agree there is some softness in the body. Well composed although getting down a little lower at a high level to the bird with his soft out of focus background would be better.

Go lower, get a better head turn, but this is a nice subject and an interesting environment.
