An excellent image, Steve. I really like the colors and I think the saturation, contrast and luminosity are just about perfect. I do think a bit more black boundary on the bottom and right would be effective.

Thanks @Dennis_Plank
I added more background. The issue is that the editing software I use only has a black background, so I cannot really see the crop.

Very interesting image, Steve - the black BG really sets off the fine detail of the greens.
What software do you use? The black BG would work well with some of the images I have… I’m sure there is another way to do it, but I’m not very competant with photoshop

Much better, Steve. If your editing software supports layers, you could create an oversize layer with a lighter tone and then add your image on top of it, do your crop and then delete the base layer. Kind of complicated and it seems silly that the software wouldn’t support a gray background.

Hi @Sandy_Richards-Brown, the black background is the swamp water, which is black due to the tannins turning the water black., kind of like tea.
If you go to my new project post I have some info about the Blackwater Swamps.
Thanks
Steve
