This is an image taken in June 2016 at the shore of Lake Neusiedl in Austria. It is a steppe lake in the Pannonian basin close to the Hungarian border. My wife and I enjoyed the calm summer evening. I did not have my camera with me, so I took this shot with my smartphone just for our personal memory.
In March 2020 we planned to visit this place on a weekend, yet the announcement of the first lockdown due to COVID-19 made it impossible. I decided to use this image as a desktop image for some months, so I could recall all these intense emotions every day in this difficult time.
