A Musical Thanksgiving

Oooooh – what did he do…

He got carried away and just pulled a key change.

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

We were well into the snacking before Thanksgiving dinner when uncle Scotty said “Jam time!” We trooped downstairs to his studio and Wylie started out on the piano while Scott played drums. Then he picked up the bass and they really got rolling. Then Wylie played the drums. Then Jeremy picked up the bass for a while and tried to remember the old days. Great fun, and we’re hoping Scott’s musicianship rubs off on Wylie.

Specific Feedback

Just for fun!!

Technical Details

Hardly matters, but Canon R5, RF 70-200, ISO 3200, luck on the shutter speeds, available light, no room to maneuver with a room littered with musical toys.

She has a wonderfully expressive face, Diane. These are fun.

Nice shots, Diane. I particularly like the first with the reflection, though there’s a white blob (probably the reflection of a knob) next to the reflection of Wylie’s face that I’d get rid of.

Very cute, and she is going to be a beauty! Thanks for sharing these!

Thanks, @Don_Peters, @Dennis_Plank and @SandyR-B! Dennis, good catch – it’s a knob on some piece of sound equipment – consider it gone, along with a bit more crop from the top. She has a much more expressive face than you can tell here. I told Jeremy a couple of years ago that I thought she was going to be an actress and he said, “Over my dead body!” (He’s a writer/director…) But she’s also very bright (just got promoted the skip the 3rd grade in a very academic school) and will find a solid direction in life.
