Critique Style Requested: Standard
The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Shooting the kids making music at Thanksgiving, I was trying to find a shot in Scott’s target-rich studio inspired by Gill’s work, and didn’t get anything i thought I could work with. Then going through the shots this one jumped out at me. A quick conversion to B/W was all it needed, with a little dodging and burning.
Specific Feedback
All comments welcome!
Technical Details
Just a little cropping and dodging and burning. The ludicrous SS is because I had just given up trying to stop drumsticks on my left and saw some nice light on Scott.

Very nice, Diane. The B&W is very appropriate and I love the shallow depth of field in this image.

Loved your photo of the bass player.
I did this video and released it on Saturday.
Thanks for showing interest.
Veeery cool! I love how it began and ended with your mother’s violin (if I remember right.) I’ll send the link to Scott!
thanks Its a personal video… My Das trombone mouthpiece and my guitar brother Ken on the bass… Lost him to cancer 3 years ago. A couple of photos are old film photos 1983. I had a darkroom and was learning pushing my ASA settings and how to print. Thanks for showing interest in my images and my music. Peace to you and the Planet
