James: Brilliant use of leading lines and a really nice conversion. Just the right amount of contrast and marvelous fade to the trees. Most excellent. >=))>

I really like the image. There’s actually quite a lot to see in the fog, but you have to look for it, which makes it interesting. The leading lines are nice as well
I’m also a little jealous. I was at Cade’s Cove, for the first time, a few months ago, and I was cursed with very pleasant weather. No fog, and not a cloud in the sky.

This is an outstanding image James, as the path leads your eye right into the photo and draws your attention to the trees in the background. I just think it might be better to remove that dark oval on the left side, which I’m assuming is a small bush that is within the fog. Seems a little distracting to me.

Perfect in B&W. The Lines and the Tone. Great image.

Good point, I see a couple of other minor distractions that I will remove. I appreciate your comment.

This image was from my first visit to the park and the morning conditions were always great. My last visit was abruptly ended due to the approaching forest fire that moved through the park.

Hi James,
I am thoroughly enjoying this wonderful B&W scene. It has an air of mystery to it with the BG fog while being inviting as the road and the fence draw the viewer into the image. My only suggestion has already been mentioned by @Ted_Forman about that dark oval. I am also enjoying the range of tones you captured her. The highlights in the grass are another nice element. Very nicely done.
