This is a wonderful B&W image. The scene has this peaceful vibe that I find very inviting and I love the way the BG trees just fade away into the fog. The star of the show for me is that FG tree with that graceful curve to it’s trunk and it is placed perfectly in the frame. My only suggestion would be a crop of about one half of the sky above the tree. Very nicely done.
Thank you! I’ll try that out. I also didn’t realize until after taking the image but the tree with leaves behind the FG tree perfectly lines up, as though we’re looking into the fading memory of the trees past
Matthew, the sense of mystery here is excellent. I like how the two “main” subjects bend. There a nice touch of dynamism in that. The fading into the mist looks very good with the living trees making an interesting contrast.
