Jagdeep - a stunning image of this fellow.
I love the ragged ears, tusks, and the grass on his head.
Is this a little crunchy, or is it me?
Magical -

Edit: I’ve been looking at this often, and I think what I was seeing as possible oversharpening, is actually the incredible texture of his skin.
Please forgive these getting-older eyes!

Another great image of another of your friends Jagdeep. It looks like it has had some rough handling over the years with those ears. Well done in B&W.

Oh wow! I love this so much! I’ve been toying with B&w in some wildlife shots. This works so well with the nicely contested Elephant shed the slightly obscure background.

A very strong image Jagdeep. the angle of the trunk and the raised foot certainly show that it was “coming in” .

Come on Sandy, it is ok.
You know, very early in my career, I learnt that as long as you work, there always would be someone who would love your work and there always would be someone, who would’nt.
And when you are pepared for both the things, it doesn’t hurt.

Nice movement in the shot. What attracts my attention, are the sad looking eyes. I don’t understand the ‘red ear’ in the title, though, black and white is OK for me anyway

My favorite animal on this planet… Great image and the tone and texture is all there. Perfect in Black and White. Way to COOL !!!

Thanks Ingrid !
‘Red ear’ is the characterstic of this particular elephant, which tells us something about the subject and B&W is the nature of image., so you can’t see it.
