Occasionally our hibiscus will develop these aberrant petals mixed in amongst the anthers. Several of the flowers will come out like this and then just as mysteriously revert to normal formation. Anyone having any insights as to this phenomenon please share. All comments welcome. >=))>

Bill, Great looking Hibiscus flower captured and presented well. I always find it difficult to make images of this flower due to large size requiring a very small aperture. Beautiful patterns. I don’t have any answers to your question, but the image is lovely.
