Description

We finally had an "atmospheric river"event this fall that brought our local streams some serious flow (and flooded some). I went to a local urban park with a waterfall and rapids to do some photography yesterday. After some serious manipulation in PS, this was one of the results.

Dennis, way to see the potential in the scene! The color palette has an impact on the overall impression of the image. I see the surface of Mars or some other rusty colored planet. The rapids provide enough interest to the composition and help create two diagonal lines starting from bottom left up to top right. You handled the highlights quite well.
