In LR, a touch of global shadows and highlights adjustment. Into PS to add a bit of canvas on top of the first one and top and right on the second one. A little bit of crop, Topaz denoise, just because I didn’t do it in LR.

Both nicely done Diane. With fine details, colors, and a pleasing background. I prefer the second image with the nice head turn towards us and nice view of the backside of the bird. The first image is nice too but the bird is angling a bit away from us.
That white eye is something else and highlighted very well here. Well done.

I’m in full agreement with Allen on this ones. It’s a beautiful image with excellent detail. I also prefer the second image for similar reasons. You’re very fortunate to have as many of these around your property. Or knowing how much damage they can do maybe not..

Very nicely done, Diane. I prefer the over the shoulder look as it seems to have more personality that way.

Thanks, @Allen_Sparks , @David_Schoen and @Dennis_Plank ! Yeah, they are a mixed blessing. They eat houses and hollow out utility poles, no matter how many trees are available.

I probably should have posted the second one first, as it is the most interesting, but I decided to go with the order shot. I think I’ll switch them.

Hi Diane
Congratulations on the editors-pick of the week.

Thanks, @Peter_Morrissey ! And thanks @Allen_Sparks and @Dennis_Plank for the EP! A very nice surprise!
