African Fish Eagle

We photographed this fish eagle in Chobe, Botswana this January. Although the techs and flight pose remind me of the baited eagle setups in Alaska, this is a totally natural shot. The bird was on an island near us, took off, snagged a fish near the boat and flew away, I had the 1DX II with 14fps on the 100-400 so I managed to get this shot.

Gorgeous detail and light, Nate and I love the approach pose. An excellent image.

Fantastic pose and great detail and color.

Really superb job with the light, detail, and wing position. Interesting water texture. I might clone away the cigar shaped object behind the wing as it pulls my eye away from the center of the image.
