In the garden. Trying to capture the grace and dignity of this aging flower. All natural light, but darkened the background in post to create a sense of a portrait.

Hi Bill. Thanks for posting. I think its’s a nicely composed creative capture. I like the curled twisted appearance of the petals. One thought would be to have moved the composition fractionally to the left to expose a little more of central green stamen as the curled petal is fractionally encroaching on it. The lighting is pleasing but a little flat you could make a slight improvement there with stronger directional lighting , but not by that much. Still a pleasing image to look at!
