American Oystercatcher in Flight

Seen at Sandy Point Island, a National Wildlife Refuge in Little Narragansett Bay. Not sure if he was in CT or RI since the state boundary bisects the island. These are fairly elusive birds and I sat in the grass for 20" before this one came along within decent range. HH, but was thinking I really could have brought my tripod in my kayak.

I really love how the bird is just skimming the grasses and the beautiful puffy clouds in the background gives nice movement to it and makes it a very happy scene! I also like the perspective of you looking up, really nice action you captured!
