Anhinga

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I always find anhinga to be unusual and intriguing birds. I also saw these birds in south Louisiana last month at one of the bird rookeries we visited.
The male in the first image seems a bit angry. I am wondering if some other bird is messing with his nest that he is approaching. He is slightly facing away from us unfortunately but not too bad I think.
The next two images are of a female flying towards the nesting site.

Specific Feedback

Any comments appreciated.

Allen, your flight shots are quite incredible. The poses and detail are outstanding. The first one with the open mouth is is pretty cool. And the last one looks like an image out of a bird book. And the middle one showing the feet and the fanned tail, fantastic. Great job!

Very well done, Allen. Excellent flight images that really show off that nuptial plumage well.
