I had a fine time shooting a male anna’s yesterday that was perched near our hummingbird feeder that he was guarding, and preening. Here’s a capture I found interesting for the stance he was in, even though the sun wasn’t hitting him right for any of his red head feathers to show. It’s always extra for me to get them fanning their tail.
