The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
These guys are regulars at the feeders – trying to drive everyone else away. So that clearly makes it shooting fish in a barrel, but I can’t resist their comic poses.
Specific Feedback
All comments welcome!
Technical Details
Minor global tonal tweaks in LR. Into PS to denoise and remove part of a feeder on the left. Slight crop from the left.

Excellent pose, Diane. If I’m seeing this right, it’s basically hugging that branch with one foot on either side-an unusual pose for birds in my experience. The detail and composition are excellent.
You seem to have nice traffic flow at your feeders Diane, and a nice setup to take advantage of them. This is another great pose with nice sharpness where it’s needed and a smooth BG. Clean, clear, and clown.
Where I live, it’s the Scrub Jays that bully the other birds and drive them away. Occasionally an Acorn Woodpecker will show up at the suet and it’s a treat to see them. You’ve captured this one nicely. As usual excellent detail with a nice perch and pose. As Dennis pointed out (and would have missed) that does seem to be an usual way to grasp the perch.
Good catch, @Dennis_Plank and @Allen_Brooks – the way he’s holding on is strange. I had deleted the images just before and after as similars, but about 30 sec later I have this one – he’s obviously changed his grip and I had zoomed in just a bit more. They seem to have strong claws and acrobatic tendencies.
@Dennis_Plank (and everyone else) – I’d love to know if other birds do this sort of kooky stuff. The only similar thing I’ve seen (in my very limited experience) in Nuthatches, but it doesn’t seem quite as playful. I have a kookier set that I think I’m finished with – stay tuned.
@Dennis_Plank and @Allen_Brooks, I found another one from a little earlier that shows the size of his feet – I never realized they were that big. These last two now added to the OP, just for fun.
