Description
We’re having our first major winter storm. This type of day inspires Photo Art for me, and draws on my long-ago painter/sketcher life.
This is a compilation of several fall images, with Impressionist and Watercolour filters and other goodies.

Sandy, this is a captivating piece with a warm and serene atmosphere, well-suited for evoking the beauty of autumn. The soft, blended colors contribute to its artistic charm, making it an effective piece of visual storytelling.
Strengths
Color Palette: The blend of warm autumn colors, with shades of red, orange, yellow, and a hint of green, creates an inviting and harmonious visual effect. The use of contrasting colors draws the viewer’s eye down the path, giving the impression of depth.
Composition: The composition is well-balanced, with the tall, dark tree trunks providing a vertical structure, while the path subtly leads the eye toward the background. This gives the piece a sense of perspective and depth, guiding viewers through the scene.
Atmospheric Effect: The misty background adds a touch of mystery and calm, enhancing the autumnal feel. It gives the sense of a cool morning walk in the woods, which adds to the artwork’s mood and appeal.
Suggestions for Improvement
Detailing on Trees: The trees are relatively simple, with minimal detail in the bark and branches. Adding subtle textures or details to the tree trunks could enhance realism without detracting from the dreamy quality.
Foreground Focus: The foreground leaves could benefit from sharper detailing or slight variations in hue to create a focal point. This would add depth and help distinguish the different layers of the scene.
Light Source: While the background is bright, a more defined light source could add depth and help highlight certain parts of the scene, creating a stronger contrast between light and shadow.
This is very cool, Sandy. I really like the vibrant colors and the stark trees. While hopefully, no one would stick their nose up against a print, I do think the brush texture from one of the filters is a bit much when I look at the largest version. To me the scene, despite the super vibrant colors has more of a watercolor feel than oil where you might have brush strokes visible. It looks like this one was a ton of work.
Sandy , a stunning image !!! The subject was ideal for this type of post processing and you nailed it. I’m sure you could make small changes to the image , but if you did , that would not be how you see the image .
