Another workshop photographic capture. This time from a boat on Caddo Lake, Texas. I really enjoyed seeing the trees of the swamp in a more skeletal, but with a splash of color condition. This is one of those images.

Camera: Canon EOS R5. Lens: RF24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM @ 157 mm, f/11 for 1/125 sec. ISO 6400 . I needed the higher ISO due to the constant motion of the boat to secure the 1/125 shutter speed . Edited using photoshop
Robert: I really wish you hadn’t posted this. To my shame I’ve lived in Texas 40 years and never been to Caddo Lake and I live on the Eastern side of the state so it’s not like I have to go many hundreds of miles to get there.
This is a beautiful scene superbly captured. I would like more room on the bottom but everything else looks great. Nicely done. >=))>
I’ve seen quite a few images of this lake taken in the fall, Bob, and I like your take and the pano format. The extra width seems to add a different and good feel to this subject.
Thank you, Dennis. I appreciate your comments and agree about the pano format feel as well as I was able to eliminate the distracting elements of the sky and water below the tree line, while still providing the viewer an idea of the expansive nature of this bayou. Bob Engle
Robert, you and I were there at exactly the same time. I arrived on Sunday the third to torrential wind and rain for a couple of days which removed most of the red leaves from the trees. In fact, you can see a lot of the red leaves on the surface of the water in your image.
This is a beautiful rendition of what the area is like. You’ve got all of the Fall colors depicted nicely in this one and I like the soft light and the pano crop you’ve chosen. @Bill_Fach, I can’t believe you live near there and have never been before. I’m so envious. You need to rectify that as soon as possible.
