B&W Titmouse

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I got this pose of an oak titmouse, and found it to be pretty lacking in color, so I thought it looked more interesting as a B&W.

Nice calling pose, Dave. The crop feels a bit tight for my taste, but I don’t know what you had to contend with around the edges.

The crop does feel little bit tight but the expression is great. It seems a little harder to tell it’s a titmouse without color, but I’ve never seen an oak titmouse so not sure. The background is nicely blurred.

Wonderful image, Dave. I think the crop works, but a bit more room would be good too. I love the B&W treatment.

Nice pose and the black and white works. I think the crop works for a nice close-up look and with the clean background.
