The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I love backlight.

Specific Feedback

I’m torn between color and black and white for this one. Others’ reactions might be helpful. Any other comments would be welcome except that I’ve already spent far too long settling on a crop and I don’t intend to revisit that question.

Wonderful backlight!!! I started out torn as well, and both are certainly worthy, but I think the abstraction of the B/W makes this even more special. Well seen, captured and executed!

Thanks, Diane.

Don: What does @Diane_Miller know . I vote for the color but both are pretty marvelous in their own right. I do like the abstraction of the B&W I can almost smell the color version. :+1: :+1:>=))>

@Bill_Fach – hint: Not much! And she can smell the color version, too!

Thank you both. Maybe I need to flip a coin.

B&W. Stellar Image Don !!! The Tone and the Lines. Really nice.

Very eye-catching, Don! I am a sucker for backlight! The black and white version provides more of an abstract feel, but I love the color version also. Very beautiful

Very eye catching. I like it. Or maybe it is a bit too stylized. I can’t really decide. Fantastic back light! Is it better in color or bnw? I really dont know? Maybe a combination? Bnw with only purple? Would that be any good?
Or maybe I prefer the color one, but would try to make it a little more blue instead of a little bit too yellow for my taste.
Anyway a very nice image!
