Bay Tanager on the rope

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

taken early in my trip to Costa Rica. I felt I was like a kid in a candy store. There were so many different species of birds everywhere that my excitement made me shake with anticipation. This is one of the more colorful Tanager species.
this type of perch is pretty common for all of many sites in Central America for bird viewing. Yes there are a lot of human elements at the feeding stations and this is no exception. But they do attract birds.

A really interesting angle on this tanager, David. It makes his body look oval instead of round, but I love the look it’s giving you. The rope is an interesting perch-I saw some approximately vertical ropes but not horizontal. Do you remember what lodge this was? And you’re right about the kid in the candy store. It’s a bird photographer’s dreamland.
