Sorry, I couldn’t resist the phrase from Star Trek. The image was taken on a cloud laden morning shortly after sunrise in Shenandoah NP, VA. This particular view is looking out over the Shenandoah Valley. I consider myself fortunate that these two rays of light poked through the clouds so close together like a spotlight on the valley floor.

Ed, this is a neat capture. The small view is not showing up at the moment, I had to go to the large view to actually see the valley. That really shows off the two beams and their spotlight effect.

Really enjoy the colors in this one Ed; certainly looks like the Blue Ridge Mtns and the light beams, which were spaced apart well, look like spotlights on a stage. Nice composition showing the layers to good effect. Very nice catch!
