Description

I tried the neighborhood lake this morning again for the kingfisher up close. This was the first time he showed up on the perch with a fish for a close up.

Another winning set of images, Allen. That park just keeps giving you great opportunities and you’re really taking wonderful advantage of them.

Holy Cow!! You have worked magic again! I love the second one – looks like he’s making an offering to the Fishing Gods! Then he shows it off to you!!!

These are great! Even the fish has given you great head angles!

All the compostions are lovely. Bird, perch, background and fish are all top notch. If I had to choose, I would pick the last one because of the eye contact with you.

Another great series of Kingfisher shots. Hard to pick a favorite. Excellent detail and good background.

Hi Allen
Very nice series of photographs, the Kingfish is on my buttock list.

Allen, gettting close to a Kingfisher is special because most of them are extremely shy. That makes all of these excellent. To me, #2 isn’t quite up to the others, but I’d love to have taken any of them…

Wow I think these are great. The Kingfisher is really “hamming” it up for you, Allen. The eye contact on the last image makes it a fav. I did think they all needed a little more breathing room. But I do enjoy the up hands distance away point of view.

Peter! I have a bucket list, but not yet a buttock list. I’ll look into that.

Nice series and the first one is my favorite. I like the open wing pose and the green BG goes well with the blue gray of the kingfisher. You have a knack for getting close to these not very approachable birds…Jim
