Description

Not another pond shot! Yep. Sorry!

The local pond has proved to be target rich. Just wait for the light and shoot. This is a Little Black Cormorant. He’s supposed to be mostly black but this one certainly had a lot of variation in his feathering, including the tiny white feather speckles above his eyes. I like his blue gular and emerald blue - green eyes. He has a green sheen.

Most adjustments done in ACR and in PS for an irregular vignette, which may be too much?

This is another beauty from that pond, Glennie. It’s one that needs to be viewed in the larger size to make the bird pop from the background, so people just viewing the thumbnail or on a small device might not be impressed, but full size it’s gorgeous.

Keep those ponds shots coming, Glenys. I like the pose with all that wing detail and that eye really pops.
