Description

A cormorant, sharp and dignified, regards the world with a knowing eye. Its beak, a tool honed by nature, reflects years of evolution. The black and white plumage is pristine, contrasting sharply with the muted background, hinting at its aquatic prowess. Hi Saundie, very nice close up of this cormorant. The parallel view of the head let’s us see all aspects sharply with a nice view of the eye. Exposure is spot on in the whites and blacks. Complimentary BG. Well done.

A lovely portrait of this cormorant, Saundie. Very nice detail without looking overdone, which can be easy to do in birds.

Gorgeous!! I love portraits and this one is excellent, technically and aesthetically. I love the BG! The tonalities are lovely and you have captured a very nice expression. S/he looks like you are being indulged, but maybe not for much longer. So it is with wild things. They rightfully have little use for us lesser beings.

This is outstanding Saundie. Nice job with the blacks and whites in this one. Nice BG to provide a good setting. Love that eye.

Really stunning!
Exquisite detail, perfect comp (not too low on the body), great “expression” and perfect handling of the blacks/whites.
Couldn’t be better!
