Weekly challenge #1037-my-yard
I took this with a d500 with the 500 MM prime. It is a heavy lens (for me) so Im practicing close to home , I have had more success with this lens with the D850 and cropping. Any opinions on that?

Cute little House Finch! The lighting is simply gorgeous and he is glowing against that dark BG.
The lighting is very nice and the bird pops with color. No nits from me. I am finding that the D850 works better for cropping with my big primes than the D500. Cropping D850 images are wonderful to work with. I agree with your observations on this…Jim
