Purple Finch-Female

The House and Purple Finches have finally shown up at my feeding station this winter. I’m not sure what the delay was, but some other species have also been slow to come in. I salvaged an old stump a few months ago with some really nice roots and this is the first time I’ve gotten a bird to perch on it where I wanted them to. The sun was in and out of the clouds yesterday and I ended up underexposing this by a full stop. The software seems to have done a good job bringing it back.

Excellent light, pose, and background. The detail is superb. I am enjoying the composition. I have not seen any finches yet but perhaps you can send them my way. Thanks
